In the context of ICT, information is shared in almost every business workplace out there. Information shared within institutions helps improve efficiency and productivity. Below is a list of how information is shared within corporate work groups.

  • Emails – It is the most common and official way of sharing information. We have sent emails at some point in our lives. Through emails, we can place information and send to an individual or multiple people.
  • Conference calls and Telephones – Employees can make calls within an organization or abroad to other employees and share information. Business can have conference calls for larger groups of people and still share information.
  • Tools like Slack, Google drive, Dropbox, Google docs and sheets, companies’ internal sites, and a myriad of tools that cannot be exhausted in one sentence can be used to share information. Information sharing has become 2nd nature to everyone one of us.

Information can also be shared outside the corporate world through social media networking tools. Anyone, no matter what part of the world you are in can connect, read news, share updates and stay in touch with friends and family. If you have access to smart devices like mobile phones, accessing social media platforms is so easy and yet so convenient to share information and this is all thanks to technological advancements in the ICT world.
