A) Using the lengths of the top line, the larger shape is 7.5/5 = 1.5 times larger than the smaller one.

Side a would be the similar side of the smaller shape multiplied by the scale factor:

a = 7.2 x 1.5 = 10.8

Find the reduction factor from the larger to the smaller shape: 5/7.5 = 2/3

To find b, multiply the similar line in the larger shape by the reduction factor:

b = 6.3 x 2/3 = 4.2

B) The larger shape is 1.5 times larger: 4.48 x 1.5 = 6.72
