to find slope, plug in the numbers for y₂-y₁ over x₂-x₁ or y₂-y₁/x₂-x₁ this means using the y coordinate from the second point and subtracting it from the first y coordinate and keeping it in fraction form. Then you subtract the fist x value from the second x value the same way as the y. then simplify all the numbers, sometimes there are negatives but that it perfectly fine. :) I hope this helped!!
