What did General Washington and the United States have to do to win the
Revolutionary War?
Washington knew that the British would only surrender if the Continental army
was able to conquer New York City and take it back from the British
They had be able to continue to fight and cost the British large sums of money.

They had to make an alliance with the Native Americans to help attack and
destroy the British in Canada and then later on in the southern colonies.
