7 times more: x ----------> 7x +600% First year: x----------> 1.4x +40% To get our answer... 1.4x -----------> 7x +?% How do you solve? Well... 7/1.4=5 This means it has to be 5 times as much. Which means it is an increase of 400%. answer: 400%
