Use the slope formula which is y2-y1/x2-x1 = slope.
Remember when you see coordinates for example (4,6), the number on the left is always the x coordinate and the number on the right is always the y coordinate. When you are given two coordinates, (4,6) and (-16, -18) assume the first coordinate given is number 1 and the second (-16, -18) is number 2.
So, y2 in this case is -18 and y1 in this case is 6.
-18 - 6 = -24.
Now we have to do x2 - x1.
x2 = -16
x1 = 4
-16 - 4 = -20
Looking at the formula, the difference for y2-y1 goes on top so put -24 on top and -20 on the bottom. (This looks like a fraction)
-24/-20
Reduce:
6/5
Note: I'm not entirely sure if the slope is 6/5 or -6/5.
