The woman looking in her purse isn't listening to you (the speaker) which is a sign of that she woman isn't very interested in your speech. Instead of listening to you she decides to look in her purse and doesn't pay attention to you which is rude and disrespectful.
On the other hand the good thing is that everyone is very quiet and there are no disruptions to your speech, which allows you to speak without being interrupted by someone talking or making an unnecessary comment.
