complex sentence.
1. As she watched the fire, the chief directed the
firefighters.
2. Outside, the atmosphere was tense; all of us
worried about the firefighters' safety and the
Johnsons' rescue.
3. When they all walked out, most of us cheered
and waved.
4. The fire looked bad to me, but the house was
repaired fairly quickly.​
