What are metaphors?
Metaphors are one of the figurative language which is used by the authors for the to make the literature and the text more engaging. The metaphors are ultimately the words which are different in meaning from the words they are used with.
However, they have some common similarities with those words. Therefore, metaphors are used. For instance, “her eyes are diamonds.” In this sentence, the eyes and the diamond have one common characteristic, which is that they both shine.
The metaphors are used in order to enhance the reading experience of the reader.
