During late-1960's, the United States were involved in the Vietnam war and civil rights leaders actively supported the anti-war movement. They opposed the involvement of the United States and would want peace among the countries. These peace movements were joined by mothers, students, and anti-establishment hippies. The participation of the movement grew including lawyers, civil rights leaders, etc.
