One way in which you are able to find the perimeter is by adding up all the sides of a rectangle. A rectangle has four sides if you start to add all of the four sides, whose lengths are given to you, you are able to find out the perimeter.
Another way would be by using the equation 2(l +w) = P. In this equation the l and the w stand for the length and the width. Since a rectangle has four sides you are able to add the two lengths and widths and multiply it by 2 to find the perimeter of the whole rectangle.
