Web Pages with Tables allow you to organize information on a Web page using HTML tags.  You can use tables to create Web pages with newspaper-type columns of text or structured lists of information.

Explanation:

  • Tables cannot be used to position text and images. An advantage to wrapping text around an image, instead of using a table, is that you have more control over the placement of the text and the image. Tables consist of rows, columns, and cells, much like text files.
  • Tables are one of the primary design tool for HTML documents. Tables serve several functions. Tables allow for greater control over page layout, allowing creation of more visually interesting pages. Pages with grid or columnar layout use tables, often invisible, to control page layout.
  • Lists are good from a structural point of view as they help create a well-structured, more accessible, easy-to-maintain document. They are also useful because they provide specialized elements to which you can attach CSS styles.
  • A list is a series of particular images, details, or facts. Also called a series, a catalog, an inventory, and  enumeratio.
