Luther is hoping to make up these expense at the next job that is scheduled, which pays a base of $50 in addition to $15 per hour that the server works. In theory, this event could pay enough to cancel out Luther's expenditures. How long would the job have to be?

and

next job pay amount is

15 x + 50    .....................2

now we equate both equation and we will get x

10 x + 100 = 15 x + 50

solve it we get

x = 10

put in equation 2 we get

= 15 (10)  + 50 = 150 + 50  = 200

so here job would pay $200 and be 10 hours long.
