You watch an advertisement about a newly discovered method on curing cancer. This advertisement has multiple testimonies of individuals who have had their cancer go into remission because of this new method. In the advertisement there are no clinical studies noted and it is not FDA approved. Would you advise your friend Bob, who has cancer, to try this method?
If it’s not approved and there is no proof through studies that the method actually works I wouldn’t tell my friend to try the method as it wouldn’t be known to be truly safe.
