Current, I = 14.6 A

magnetic force per unit length = 0.119 N/m

Magnitude of magnetic field = B = ?

a) F = ILB sin θ

θ = 90°

So,

[tex]\dfrac{F}{L}=IB[/tex]

[tex]0.119=14.6\times B[/tex]

[tex]B = \dfrac{0.119}{14.6}[/tex]

[tex]B = 0.00815\ T[/tex]

[tex]B = 8.15\ mT[/tex]

b) The direction of magnetic field is in +z direction.
