The New Deal help the economic recovery of the United States and soothed social suffering in the years of the Great Depression. However, it was the Second World War that brought an end to the Great Depression. WWII led to large and dynamic growth, mobilized the full industrial capacity of the country, produced practically full employment of the workforce, it stimulated innovation. 17 million new jobs were created, productivity rose by 96 percent, and corporate profits doubled.  It also strengthened the government´s regulatory role, it contributed to a consolidation of labor movements.

the larger role in ending the great depression would be world war ll because every manufacturer and factory started working again to supply the troops with vehicles guns ammunition cloths and everything else they needed so employment rose very high as men took jobs in the armed forces women got found employment in factories and other businesses to provide for themselves and their children
