Suppose you know that a/b is equivalent to m/n, and a/b is not equivalent to x/y, is m/n equivalent to x/y? Explain your answer, please.
Please help me and I will mark you as the best answer.
OK so the answer- you know the a/b=m/n, and a/b is not =x/y. Because of the fact that m/n=a/b, you can use the substitution property of equality to say that m/n is not =x/y
