Answer:

Firstly, we should return library books on time. However, we seldom do this. We return quite freely, and after 10-20 days of the due date as the fine is low. However, if it is $10s a day, 20 days delay will mean $200s fine. And this is a good sum of amount. Thus, we will anyhow avoid late submission of the library book. However, we need to get our work done. And hence, we might work harder to get things done on time. Its a habit of each person to work better when on stake. And hence, we will prioritize our work related to that book, and we will get our work finished anyhow on time. Hence, the heavy fine can be a good option. But sometimes. students do keep the book for long as there is not enough copy of that book in the library, and they cannot buy it, and also fear that they will not be able to get it reissued. Hence, an ethically heavy fine is not a good option. And the libraries should be lenient on students for this. And even then students will work well because all want to excel in their life. If any student thinks else wise, he/she should rethink.
