I don’t really know which section you are talking about but what I remember was when the soldiers that came to Ellie’s hometown and Ransacking his hometown from gold and forcing everyone to go to the box carts. The soldiers were having fun by beating up the Jewish people of Sighet and taking their prize possessions. Obviously the Jewish people were upset by this and scared of the soldiers because they never seem anything like it before
