I think it does play a role in our mental health not necessarily because it helps you with the way you look but it also helps you relive stress. For example after I go for a run I of course feel tired but I feel so good being able to feel the wind making my hair move and just listening to music as I ran or listening to the birds tweeting it gives me time to reflect on things and just have time for myself, as I run I don't have to worry about what is going on at home or at school i just pay attention to the my feet hitting the pavement.
