Answer:
Chapter 2 of the novel A Christmas Carol is about the spirit of Christmas past visiting Scrooge to bring him into the past. Scrooges undead friend Jacob Marely informed him of the unexpected visits of the three spirits. The first spirit visits Scrooge at 1:00 in the morning as a small figure that is as tall as a child but looks like an old man. This spirit takes Scrooge into the past to remind him of his long forgotten Christmas. When Scrooge was reminded of all that he done in the past, he regret's what he is doing in the future like scarring away a child because he was singing a Christmas carol. near the end of this chapter Scrooge asks the spirit "Why He was torturing him like this" and he demands to be brought back to the present time saying "Leave me! Take me back. Haunt me no longer!” Scrooge was brought back to his present time exhausted from his experience and immediately went to his bed and fell into a heavy sleep.
