Just had to write a paper on the south losing slaves, and how the north freed slaves.
President Abe Lincoln has spoken out against the rights of owning slaves. Without free labor the south would lose millions of dollars, and people will not be able to pay taxes because crops aren't getting picked. Plantations in the south make up majority of economic success. Slaves are a huge part of American society, and without the free labor the economy not just in the south but also in the north would crumble.
