There are two things plays important role in sexual reproduction , obviously "male" and "female" spomges . so the male sponge , basically releases sperm into water . here the water acts as a "medium" . then , when it reaches female . When the male gamate and female gamate fuse , a larvae is formed which firther devalops into another sponge .
