Hi I could not find the song you were talking abt but i did do this in class and I used the song work by the rapper kaan. ( I could not put in the lyrics because they had so you will have to do that your self )
Explanation:
The song "Work" was made by the rapper K.A.A.N. The theme of the song is work for what you want and don't expect things to just be handed to you. A line that I would say that supports the theme is "Ain't nobody gonna get it for you better go ahead and get it by your motherfrickin self by yourself". I would say that the theme is explicit , I say this because throughout the entire K.A.A.A emphasizing on how you need to work to get what you want (the song is even called "Work") . I can connect the theme of the song to my own life in many ways . One of those ways was when I was playing basketball I expected to be immediately really good at it . I can say that I was but I got better with practice.That is how I can connect the theme to my life.
Answer:
I was givin the option to use a song or poem and i went with a poem. The poem I chose was “Lullaby” by W.H. Auden
Explanation:
In my instructions I was told to copy and paste the lyrics from a song or the lines in a poem.
Here is the words to the poem:
Lay your sleeping head, my love,
Human on my faithless arm;
Time and fevers burn away
Individual beauty from
Thoughtful children, and the grave
Proves the child ephemeral:
But in my arms till break of day
Let the living creature lie,
Mortal, guilty, but to me
The entirely beautiful.
Soul and body have no bounds:
To lovers as they lie upon
Her tolerant enchanted slope
In their ordinary swoon,
Grave the vision Venus sends
Of supernatural sympathy,
Universal love and hope;
While an abstract insight wakes
Among the glaciers and the rocks
The hermit's carnal ecstasy.
Certainty, fidelity
On the stroke of midnight pass
Like vibrations of a bell,
And fashionable madmen raise
Their pedantic boring cry:
Every farthing of the cost,
All the dreaded cards foretell,
Shall be paid, but from this night
Not a whisper, not a thought,
Not a kiss nor look be lost.
Beauty, midnight, vision dies:
Let the winds of dawn that blow
Softly round your dreaming head
Such a day of welcome show
Eye and knocking heart may bless,
Find the mortal world enough;
Noons of dryness find you fed
By the involuntary powers,
Nights of insult let you pass
Watched by every human love.
after I had to
-State the theme of the piece
-Explain whether this theme is explicit or implicit and why
-Provide an example of how the theme relates to your life
-Restate the theme in your conclusion sentence
so I wrote
The theme of “Lullaby” describes the love that the speaker has for his lover and how that love will be strong enough until their deaths. The poem “Lullaby” is an Explicit poem because, in the poem there are many sentences talking about the author and his love with his lover, because of those sentences it gives out the theme directly. An example of how the theme relates to my life is that the theme and poem reminds me of my mom and dad's relationship.
But you should probably provide an example of how the theme relates to your life, but if u can’t then u could use what I wrote.
If u end up using this then please be sure to reword it, it wouldn’t be good if it gets caught as plagiarisam. Good luck and let me know if it’s any help! :)
