Total income

  • Amount earned per hour = £12

  • Overtime amount per hour = 1 1/4 × £12

= 5/4 × 12

= £15

Number of hours worked on Monday = 10 hours

= 8 regular hours + 2 overtime hours

Total income earned on Monday = (8 × £12) + (2 × £15)

= £96 + £30

= £126
