Respuesta :
DNA replication have to occur before a cell can divide by mitosis to maintain the same number of chromosomes in the daughter cells as in the parent cell.
DNA REPLICATION:
- DNA replication is the process by which a cell makes a copy of its genetic material (DNA) to produce two identical copies of itself.
- DNA replication occurs prior to every cell division including mitosis because each daughter cell must possess the same of chromosomes as the parent cell.
- DNA replication occurs in the synthesis phase of the interphase stage of the mitotic cell division process.
- Therefore, DNA replication have to occur before a cell can divide by mitosis to maintain the same number of chromosomes in the daughter cells as in the parent cell.
