Farming in the Middle Colonies or Mid Altantic Colonies (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware) was abundant, and consisted mostly of temperate climate crops such as wheat and oat.

This farming model was in between the New England model (subsistance farming), and the Southern model (large cash crop plantation farming favored by a warmer subtropical climate).
