Although Mesopotamia had land that was fertile, the Mesopotamian region wasn’t always conducive to agriculture, which made water even a bigger need than it was before. Out of the two seasons Mesopotamia had: a rainy season and a dry season; the rainy season would always bring down a moderate amount of rain which often led to the cause of rivers being flooded.
