It important to have someone you can share your feelings with. The Anne Frank play uses this as the theme. Anne likes talking to Peter, she also likes him. The adults don't understand or get her from Anne's point of view. On Page 2 Pete said to Anne that she can come into his room anytime she wants to let of some steam.   Then Anne replies back to Pete to make sure by saying,"Do you mean it?' Anne felt reassured that Pete would listen.
