I have a triangle that has an area of 27 square feet. And the height is three times the length of the base. How do I find the height and base of the triangle?
Area = 1/2 x base x 3 x base = 3/2 b^2 27 = 3/2 b^2 b^2 = (2 x 27)/3 = 18 [tex]base=\sqrt{18}=3\sqrt{2}[/tex] and [tex]height=3(3\sqrt{2}) = 9\sqrt{2}[/tex]
