Finding slope:
Take two pairs of cordinate points from the table and use the formula y2-y1 divided by x2-x1
I choose (4,3) and (2,2)
2-3 divided by 2-4
= -1/2
Then to get the y intercept you use the formula: y=mx+b
For the x and y pick a cordinate to plug in. For m plug in your slope.
I pick (6,4)
4=-1/2×6+b
Multiply -1/2 and 6 to get -3 and plug that in
4=-3+b
Now add 3 to the -3 canceling that out to 0 and add three to the 4 making that 7
7=b
Y-intercept =7
Now plug in the slope and y-intercept into the slope intercept format and get:
Y=-1/2x+7
