In my opinion, the Puritans were just pure selfish because just for religious freedom and the faith that they had, which was how they would be free, they left all of their loved ones behind just because of the belief in god. It is not justified to state that the Puritans have settled in America for their selfless reasons and the spread of new religion within other continents.
