x+y=151            (i)

1.50x+2y=270.50          (ii)

Multiply 2 on both sides of (i)

2x+2y = 302          (iii)

⇒ x = 63   [Divide both sides by 0.5]

Put value of x in (i) , we get

63+y= 151

⇒ y= 151-63 =88
