When a disease affects the body, there will be a problem is the functioning of body organs. Medications will have to be administered and they could cause allergies as side effects. Also, there are some diseases for which the cure is not available. Therefore, prevention is better than cure because:

- Children have a weak immune system, they need to be immunized.
- Vector-borne, water-borne, air-borne diseases develop in the surroundings, so cleanliness should be a priority
