Well task separation is when either a individual or the teams leader separates the task into individual jobs that will by the end of each task finish the original goal.

For instance if your trying to make a dinner with potatoes meat loaf and bread you would have one person cleaning the potatoes, another doing the meatloaf and two people making the bread.

So by the end of the day the meal is finished just in time for supper.
