In Johnny Got His Gun, which of these ideas does the narrator NOT use to support his thesis? What kind of freedom were people sent out to die for? Was it freedom from work or disease or death? When you are dead, your country must celebrate you for your sacrifice? Does an American who fought for freedom feel any better than a Canadian, who did not have to?
