Kim's softball team is playing in the championship game. They are losing by a score of 17 to 6. There are 4 innings to go. Kim wants to know how many runs her team needs per inning to win the game if the other team does not score. (Each run is worth 1 point.)

needs to score 2.75 per inning (even though you can't score 0.75 point)
11 runs need to be made but you can't evenly spread it out between 4 innings so 3 innings need 3 runs and 1 inning needs 2 runs
