Answers:
- sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse
- cos(angle) = adjacent/hypotenuse
- tan(angle) = opposite/adjacent
These three ratios are often expected to be memorized or written on a flashcard, or reference sheet. I recommend memorizing them as they will come up quite often in trigonometry.
One way to remember is to use phrase "SOH CAH TOA" which could sound like "soak a toe-a" when you pronounce it out.
SOH = sine opposite hypotenuse
CAH = cosine adjacent hypotenuse
