Body organs and systems are assigned different roles and functions for proper working and coordination. Cells need energy for working and growth which is provided by the breaking of food substances by the body systems.
The systems that will not break nutrients are:
- Respiratory system
- Integumentary system
- Reproductive system
The systems can be explained as:
- The digestive and the excretory system are the main systems involved in the digestion, absorption and excretion of food, nutrients and waste in the body.
- The organs of the digestive and excretory system break the food particles, absorb the essential nutrients and minerals and eliminate the unessential and waste fluid and the solid materials from the body.
- The respiratory, integumentary and reproductive systems are not involved in breaking, digesting, absorbing or eliminating the nutrients.
Therefore, respiratory, reproductive and integumentary systems are not involved in utilizing and breaking nutrients.
