Jews were a religious group that originated from the Middle East. They were belonging to the part of Israel known as the Levant.
The genocide of the Jewish people of Europe during the era of WW II was called the Holocaust. It was also known as Shoah. In the years between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its co-workers killed about 6 million people belonging to the Jewish religion living in Europe which was about 2/3rd of the population of Jewish people.
