Erosion affects lakes in a couple of ways, including:
- Wearing away of the lake boundaries or sides
- Increased water level due to run-off discharge
- Increased sediment levels as a result of sediments in run-offs.
Since lakes are bodies of water that are stagnant and surrounded by lands, there is no way erosion will cause a leakage of the lake water.
