Ok so here is the best answer i could come up with.
The grammar is correct as far as i know so the only thing that i can come up with is that is it bland, and boring. It is lacking . . . spice if you know what i mean. If it asks you to correct it i would say the following
"I'm tired," said Max.
"So am I," agreed Juan.
Or something like that. Now that i am looking at it it might be that the word "said" is repeated, which adds to the lack of spice to it.
