1. Prewriting (it helps to remember this because think of pre means before or first, so this is the first thing you do)
2. drafting (this is just the base of your paper)
3. revising (remember “re” means again or going back so if you are going back to parts of your paper, you are revising and making changes)
4. editing (fixing mistakes or rewording sentences to sound better and more professional to fit the tone of your paper)
5. publishing (submitting the final copy. think of book publishers, they don’t write the book but they produce the final copy.)
