I think this because most animals and plants require fresh water which we are running out of. We are running out of it because the Glaciers which hold most of the Fresh water is melting into the oceans which make that fresh water salty. Which makes it undrinkable so we cant use it. So, unless we find a way to unsalt salt water there is not enough water for humans plants and animals.
