Answer:
In mathematics, a ratio indicates how many times one number contains another
so lets say you have 2 to 4 that is equivalent to the ratio 1 to 2, that is 2:4 = 1:2. Note also that a fraction is a number that stands for "part of something", so although this ratio can be expressed as a fraction, in this case it does NOT represent "part of something".
Note that the ratio 2 to 4 is said to be equivalent to the ratio 1 to 2, that is 2:4 = 1:2. Note also that a fraction is a number that stands for "part of something", so although this ratio can be expressed as a fraction, in this case it does NOT represent "part of something".
Step-by-step explanation:
If you dont know what equivalent means i will define it
Its like a diviosn problem lets say you have 10/20 to make that a equlivant fravtion you need to divide the top number and the bottom number (numberator and denominator) by the sme number 10/20 ca both be divided by 10 ,so 10 divided by 10 is 1 and 20 divided by 10 is 2 so the new fraction is 1/2.
(10/20=1/2)
Hope that makes sense lol.
