indoors. When they sold their house and moved into an apartment, they left Spot behind to
fend for himself.
Be Spot. Write a short letter to the Tinkers describing what is unreasonable about this situation
and what will be especially hard for you. Write in the first person and include the things you
need, what might happen to you, and how they should have handled the situation instead of
abandoning you.

It’s me, Spot, your old dog. I keep hoping and thinking you are going to come back but you never do. You left me behind, with no food, water, or someone to care for me. I’m thirsty and hungry and worse of all I miss you guys. You should have brought me to the puppy pound. Then at least I would be taken care of and have someone to play with.
