x^2 + 15^2 = 40^2

x^2 + 225 = 1600

x^2 = 1600 - 225

x^2 = 1375

x = SQRT(1375)

2.Using pathagorean it’s 16^2 + 24^2 = c^2

256 + 576 = 832

The answer is the sqrrt of 832

Which is 8sqrrt13 or 28.44
