My dream job is to become a social worker in the near future. Being a social worker can truly be a very broad career path but when narrowed, it becomes an opportunity to do all sorts of things! You can become a counselor, you can advocate for the disabled, or even save children from unsafe homes, and much more. I strongly believe participating in this field of work is for me as I have great communication skills, I have a passion for working with other people, and I have an immense amount of empathy towards others. I am always looking out for other people and making it into a career for myself will allow me to do something I genuinely enjoy.
In order to achieve this goal of mine, I have been taking lots of classes in my high school and I am also involved in Dual Enrollment programs to help prepare for my future. I have participated in sociology, psychology, hospitality/tourism, childcare, and I have also talked to many people who are in this field of work about my interest. After high school, I plan to go to college and major in social work. I am currently unsure as to which path I would like to work towards in this field because of how broad it is, but I am excited for future opportunities!
