The correct answer to this open question is the following.
It is correct to say that migration and immigration is an age-old process of people moving across borders. Some argue it is detrimental to a country's stability and others say that it brings benefits.
Historically, some effective solutions to this social phenomenon had been to invest in the poor country that has no investments or economic possibilities to create jobs and offer its citizens a better way of leaving.
In other cases, people emigrate from their native countries due to political persecution or wars. In that case, other powerful nations had to directly intervene to solve some parts of these problems, although history has confirmed that this has not been the end result most of the time.
The impact on individuals, countries, and the larger world from the issue of migration is that thousands of people leave their former countries and enter neighborhood countries and stay there, with not a clear solution to their problems, but staying there generate a new series of problems that never existed before their arrival. Specifically, overcrowding some places, increase of population that can access basic resources, jobless people, increase in crime, more diseases, and some other public issues.
The pros and cons to the U.S. regarding migration are the following. Pros, the US has the money to create some serious programs to accept legal migration and help families to settle in the US with order and control. This can be view as a humanitarian issue that needs to be urgently addressed. The cons are that up until today, the immigration policy is not clear, the border patrol still catching hundreds of immigrants daily and they are deported to their original countries. And within days, people start to walk to the US again. The international community has always criticized the US for its insensibility on this issue.
To state that some effective modern-day solutions are being proposed would be a lie, because if there were some, developed countries had already been used those solutions.
I think the issue of immigration is one of the most difficult, if not the most, regarding world problems.
