"They would have killed me, thought Montag, swaying, the air still torn and stirring around him in dust, touching his bruised cheek. For no reason at all in the world they would have killed me."
This quote surprised me, Ray Bradbury does an amazing job exposing the theme and feeling that Montag is experiencing. I can sense the fear, and anguish that Montag is feeling, and the cold wind swirling around me, the dust hitting me like sand on a windy beach.
"He hid the books in the kitchen and moved from the house again to the alley and looked back and the house was still dark and quiet, sleeping."
This quotation shows the darkness and nervousness of the story, it brings out a sort of creeped reaction from me. I can sense the gloom in the passage.
